The comparison ledger
Best Gold IRA Companies: Compare Published Terms
The best gold IRA company depends on your account needs and actual written quote; this comparison records published terms in alphabetical order without ranking scores.
How is this comparison ordered?
Companies appear alphabetically by display name. Inclusion means the supplied source record does not flag the company as excluded from promotion; it is not a recommendation or an assessment of personal suitability. There are no paid ranking positions, star ratings or invented test results. Goldco alone has an affiliate kit link on this site.
A common set of fee columns makes missing information visible, but does not make every storage or custodian arrangement identical. Read the notes below and our methodology before comparing the numbers.
What are the documented minimums and fees?
Custodian and depository examples are not all-in dealer quotes. Storage types differ. Missing verified values are marked “Written quote required.” See the scope notes below before comparing.
- Goldco: custody example uses Equity Trust. The custodian’s published non-segregated storage schedule, not a dealer quote, supersedes the older storage figures on Goldco’s cost page; segregated storage is $160Custodian Equity Trust’s published storage schedule; not a dealer quoteEquity Trust fee FAQ · as of 2026-10-29. Other custodians may differ.
- Augusta: the published storage example does not identify the storage type. Do not assume it is the same arrangement as another company’s quote.
- Birch: the fees are an Equity Trust and Delaware Depository example, not fees charged by Birch itself. Wire charges can be separate.
- Noble: the support FAQ and older IRA page use different setup presentations and storage prices. The table uses the support FAQ’s primary figures, labels the conflict, and requires confirmation. Noble says it offers segregated storage only.
- Patriot: conditional fee promotions and a storage-page setup statement do not establish an unconditional account price. Qualification thresholds and a general storage rate are not verified in our source snapshot. Patriot Gold Group · as of 2026-10-29
What do the published repurchase statements say?

What cautions affect this table?
Lear’s source record identifies a New York Attorney General consent order resolving allegations of hidden commissions and misleading practices, as well as a bankruptcy-related multistate investor settlement. Inclusion in a fee table does not erase that history. New York Attorney General · as of 2026-10-29
Priority’s source record flags a discrepancy between the company’s own accreditation and review-rating descriptions and the external profiles checked. We do not reproduce those ratings. Verify current external profiles directly rather than relying on company badges or a comparison score.
Patriot’s conditional fee marketing does not provide a verified general account price or qualifying threshold. Noble’s support FAQ conflicts with an older IRA page. American Hartford Gold’s setup and custody charges are not verified in the source snapshot. Those gaps should remain questions for the provider.
What should decide your shortlist?
Use custody acceptance, a documented funding route, complete costs and clear sale procedures as the comparison framework. The lowest minimum does not establish the lowest purchase premium. A polished explanation does not establish that a proposed collectible-style product suits your account.
- Exact product name, unit weight, fineness and quantity.
- Purchase price, all charges and a current resale bid for the same products.
- Custodian name, fee schedule and accepted-metals confirmation.
- Depository name, storage type and release or distribution procedure.
- Any promotional conditions and the standard charges after the offer.

What else should you know?
Why is this called a best-companies comparison without a winner?
“Best” is the research question. The evidence shown here supports comparison of published terms, not a universal winner or personal recommendation.
Can missing fees be treated as no charge?
No. Missing verified amounts mean you need a written quote. Conditional marketing offers must be checked for eligibility and scope.
General education. Not financial or tax advice. Confirm current account terms and seek qualified guidance for your own circumstances.
